This month saw Toshiba’s official end of life notice on the Willpos ST-A20 all in one terminal, and whilst users may initially worry about the product availability, PLM Global has wasted no time in securing stock to keep supporting both new sales, and to provide class leading maintenance to the retail, convenience and hospitality industry.
The ST-A20 machine was, and still is one of the most popular all in one devices that has hit the various industries that it serves, and Shane Watson, PLM’s Sales Director, expects that its prominence will not die for some time. “The ST-A20 is used by an abundance of end users, some of which will have only just laid out large amounts of capital expenditure to implement the machines, so if the machines can keep running the software, then I expect these machines will be going for at least another 5 years.”
PLM Global’s whole model is based on extending the lifecycle of products for its customers in the barcode and POS arenas, through supplying quality refurbished equipment from our worldwide network of partners, through to fully contracted maintenance solutions.
